Hey Courbet!

Here's another for the Fresh Produce show at the Anno Domini Gallery.
It'll be opening this Friday, so if you're in the San Jose area you should stop by! There are some great artists involved (including my friendorfoe Kiersten), and everything is priced $250 and below so you're sure to pick up some awesome yuletide presents!

So I'm back from Thanksgiving in Ohio! Not only was there mashed potatoes, apple cider and pumpkin pie nearly every meal, but I got to visit the Timken steel mill where my aunt works! Nearly everyone on my Dad's side of the family has worked at Timken at one point or another, and although it had changed alot since when my Dad worked there, it was great to see. Think massive flames and smoke shooting up to the ceiling... well, it's hard to describe. Unfortunately, we couldn't take any photos inside, but here's the fam dressed in hardhats and the best video I could find.

Thanks again Aunt Mary!

I'll post close-ups soon.

Man- all artists should really watch 'The Mona Lisa Curse'... I was preparing to post the full youtube video on here, but it was taken down. Here's a promo of the first of the three videos about art and money.

cast iron banks

I've been haunting these ebay listings for the past month... but I can't bring myself to rationalize buying one. Hopefully posting them here will satiate my obsession.

This year's halloween was really chill, as per usual. Bad horror movies all day, then a trip to the the Merchant's House on 4th street. We sat in the parlor, which was done up for a funeral (19th century coffin, body and all) as penny dreadfuls among other things were read.

p.s. these gifs are mine! hands off!

My mom went to this Obama rally, actually...

Charles Lutz @ the Tribeca Grand

I saw Charles' show at the Tribeca Grand the other evening! Such pristine work! These are my two favorites.

cookie pizza pie

Happy B-day to Jashar

Here's the killer cookie Ilana, Jed and I made for his get-together. (We had to try and top our burger cake from last year.) That's red chocolate icing on there along with white chocolate cheese and fondant pepperoni, mushrooms, onions and green peppers.

man and his dog

I know everyone is sick of seeing hackneyed soft sculpture monsters and various overly cute creatures, but here are some done right. They're actually quite nice.

^current stitching
I think I'm beginning to tire of the embroidery rings... but it seems to suit this piece.
Also–the WFMU record fair is approaching at top speed! I've gotta search the sofa and hit a coinstar.
Let me know if you spot this album there...

I want it.
Really. Let me know.

Honorable mention!

Reviews of the Panorama Project have been popping up! SPD, in particular, had some kind things to say about my piece! If you haven't gotten a chance to see the show, you should check it out in person (it'll be up until Oct 4th.) Otherwise, see it online on the Jonathan Levine website.
Thanks again to Jordin Isip for including me in the show!
