courthouse steps

I got the urge to stitch together a strip of my quilt the other day– I wasn't sure about the color palette of the blocks, but it looks pretty great put together! It's exciting to see the diamond shapes come out after looking at it in block form for so long. Many, many more blocks to go...

raglan sleeves


Here are a few new pieces I whipped together in the past couple of weeks. The ikat dress is my first attempt at a raglan sleeve. It still has a few neckline-related kinks to be worked out but I'm really happy with the shirt.

tying the knot


The big day is fast approaching! Here's the illustration I made for the invite. We'll be having the ceremony at my parent's house surrounded by a huge array of my Dad's native prairie flowers. We wanted the same feel for the cards, although these blooms aren't strictly what we'll be seeing.

Whoa– David Thomas (Pere Ubu) and Richard Thompson performing together? Wha?!
This was a pretty exciting find- apologies for the first 1 min & 20 seconds though. Can't say I love the song either, but Pere Ubu and Richard Thompson! Worlds colliding!
